Printing black-and-white graphics or text boxes on a Canon Bubble-Jet or an Epson LQ-860 printer may produce unexpected results.
When you print a black-and-white graphic from Word for Windows to a Canon Bubble-Jet printer, such as the BJC 4000 or BJC 600, the graphic may print all black like a silhouette, or it may be missing the white areas of the graphic.
If you superimpose two text boxes with the fill color set to white, the text from the bottom text box will show through the top text box when you print them, even though the bottom text box is correctly masked by the top text box in page layout view and print preview.
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Change the Print Color setting to "Screen Matched Colors" by following these steps:
1. From the Windows Main Group, choose the Control Panel.
2. Choose the Printers icon.
3. Choose the Setup button.
4. Change the Print Color option to Screen Matched Colors.
