When loading a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that specifies a bookmark or anchor as part of the URL, Internet Assistant does not position the window to the anchor. For example, when loading the following URL, Internet Assistant positions you at the top of the document instead of jumping to the Other section:
http://www.microsoft.com/pages/deskapps/word/ia/support.htm#other
This problem does not exist when you hyperlink to bookmarks in local

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Internet Assistant for Word, version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
After loading the URL, jump to the bookmark by clicking on the desired hyperlink.
To link to specific sections in other documents, you must include a hash mark (#) followed by the anchor name at the end of your URL, as the following syntax demonstrates:
protocol://servername/document_name#anchor_name
