SUMMARYMicrosoft Word for the Macintosh versions 4.0 and 5.0 offer eight possible colors for formatting. The colors available are: black, blue, cyan, green, red, magenta, white, and yellow. No other colors are available. In Microsoft Word for the Macintosh version 3.x, you cannot format the color of characters. In Word version 4.0, you can only apply these colors to text. In Word version 5.0, you can apply these colors to text and also to objects and lines in the picture window using the Picture command.
