On page 721 of the "Microsoft Word User's Guide," under the "Creating a Custom Button" heading, states, "You can either select an image in the Custom Button dialog box or create a custom image for the button face." In addition to these two methods for creating a button face, you can also copy an existing toolbar button.

Use the following procedure to add an existing button image to a macro:

1. Create the macro and save it.

2. From the Tools menu, choose Customize and select the Toolbars tab.

3. From the Categories list, select Macros.

4. From the Macros list, select the macro you created in step 1.

5. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the macro to the working

   document. This will create a new button with a blank face.

6. The Custom Button dialog box will appear. Choose the Cancel button, but

   leave the Customize Toolbars dialog box open.

7. Point with the mouse to the existing button that you want to copy and

   press the right mouse button. Choose Copy Button Image.

8. Move the mouse pointer to the new blank button face and press the right

   mouse button. Choose Paste Button Image.

This will copy the existing button image onto the new button; however, its function will be that of the macro you created.
