If you copy text that contains Revisions Marks, any deleted text within the selection is written to the Clipboard.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Word for Windows listed at the beginning of this article. This problem has been corrected in Word for Windows, version 6.0.
When you turn on Revision Marks and activate the "Show Revisions on Screen" and "Mark Revisions while Editing" options, deleted text will display on the screen with a strikethrough. If you copy revised text to the Clipboard, the new, nondeleted, and deleted text are all written to the Clipboard.
When you paste text into a document with Revision Marks on (activated), Word will not paste the deleted text. However, when you paste text into a document with Revision Marks cleared (not activated) or into an application that does not interpret the revision information, the deleted text will paste.
