SUMMARYTo install Microsoft Word on a system with a hard disk, create a new folder to place the files into. Then drag all the file icons from the main disk window of each disk over to the new folder on the hard disk. Do not drag the disk icons over to the hard disk icon or you will risk replacing the entire contents of any folder on the hard disk that has the same name as the icons on the Word disk.
MORE INFORMATIONWord version 3.0x has a System Folder on the Program disk. Do not put this on the Hard Disk. Word versions 1.0 and 1.05 are copy protected. After they have been installed on a hard drive, it is still necessary to insert the master disk whenever you first use these versions of Word after starting your Macintosh computer. Word versions 3.x and 4.0 are not copy protected. Make sure the System Folder on your backup copy or hard disk is current for use with your Macintosh hardware configuration. Please contact your Apple dealer for more information on which versions of the software in the System Folder should be used with your computer, as well as how to update this software.
