SUMMARY

This article describes how to install Internet Assistant to a network.

MORE INFORMATION

To install Internet Assistant to a network, do the following:

1. Install Internet Assistant to a local drive on which you have a full

installation of Word for Windows, version 6.0a or 6.0c.

2. After setup is completed, copy HTMLCONV.CNV from your Word for Windows
directory (usually, C:\WINWORD) to a shared network drive.

3. From the workstation, run Internet Assistant for Word Setup. Setup will
first try to install the HTMLCONV.CNV file in the location specified by
the INI-PATH setting in the WINWORD6.INI file. If this path is read-
only, then this file will be installed in the path specified during
   Setup (typically C:\WINWORD\INTERNET).

4. On the workstation, using a text editor such as Notepad, edit the
WINWORD6.INI file. This file is located in your Windows program
directory (usually C:\WINDOWS). Modify the path for WORDHTML in the [MS
Word Text Converters] section so that it points to the location where
the HTMLCONV.CNV file is installed (refer to Step 3). The syntax is:

   [MS Word Text Converters]
WordHTML=HyperText Markup Language (HTML), <winword>\HTMLCONV.CNV, htm

where <winword> is the drive and directory location selected in Step 3.
