To start Microsoft Word for Windows in a maximized window, create the following WordBasic macro, and name it "autoexec":
Sub Main
If AppMaximize() = 0 Then AppMaximize
End Sub
The above macro when named Autoexec will force Word for Windows to be
maximized on startup. The IF statement uses the AppMaximize()
function to check the state of WinWord before executing the
AppMaximize statement. The AppMaximize statement restores the
application window if the application window is already maximized.
