XL: Displaying Numbers in Thousands or Financial FormatID: Q61491

Microsoft Excel can display numbers in a financial format. For
example, Excel can format the number "12,500,000" to appear as "12.5",
yet still use the number 12,500,000 in any formula calculations.
The Number command from the Format menu uses a comma (",") as a
thousands placeholder if the comma has a "#" or "0" before or after
it. The proper number formatting for the above example is as follows:
