When you display your document in Page Layout view, text formatted in the <pre> style extends past the right side of the page.
If you size the frame to fit within the margins of the page, the frame size reverts to its original size when you save the HTML file.
By design, the preformatted style inserts a frame around your text. Because the style is saved as the pre element, this format is applied when you save the document. Therefore, any size changes you make to the frame are removed.
To work around this problem, insert a hard carriage return in your text to control were your line breaks inside the <Pre> element.
