The information in this article applies to:
An Image Not Loaded button is displayed instead of your image after you view the HTML source, preview your page in a web browser, or open your HTML document. In addition, when you view the page in a web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape, these images are not displayed.
The image is in a graphic format that is not supported on the Internet. For example, you inserted a WMF, BMP, or PCX image. The Internet supports three graphics formats: GIF, JPG, and XBM. Of the three, most browsers, as well as Internet Assistant, support either GIF or JPG.
NOTE: Some browsers are text only browsers; therefore, they cannot display any graphic format, including GIF or JPG.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Internet Assistant for Word, version 2.0z. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
To ensure that your images are displayed when you post your page to the Internet, use a GIF or JPG image. If you have an image that you want to use that is not a GIF or JPG format, use a graphics program to convert the image.
NOTE: If you are converting a Word document to HTML, click the Save Pictures button during the conversion process to convert your images to GIF format.
