NUM LOCK on Extended Keyboard Doesn't Light Up

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word for the Macintosh version 5.0, if you press the NUM LOCK key on the numeric keypad of an Apple extended keyboard, the NUM LOCK status light above the key does not light up, even though NUM LOCK is selected. Word does display whether or not the numeric keypad is in NUM LOCK mode on the lower-left corner of the screen.
