When you upgrade applications or remove applications from your system, old object types often remain in the list of objects in the Insert Object dialog box. You can remove these unwanted object types from the list by using the Microsoft Windows Regedit (Registration Info Editor) program.
To run Regedit, choose Run from the File menu in Windows Program Manager. In the Command Line box, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks) and choose OK.
When you run Regedit, you will see a list of installed file types. Select the item you want to remove and press the DELETE key. (If you delete the wrong item, close Regedit without saving changes and run it again.)
NOTE: This list contains more entries than are found in the Insert Object dialog box. Do not delete any entries you do not recognize. Doing so may impair or impede the ability of Windows to perform object linking and embedding (OLE).
