This article discusses the purpose, usage, and known support issues for the TableMath macro, supplied with Word version 6.0 for Windows in the TABLES.DOT file.
The TableMath macro makes it easier to develop formulas to use in tables.

When you use the TableMath macro, you may receive the following errors:
This error occurs when you double-click the last item in the Values list box.
To work around this problem:
1. Select the final item in the Values list. 2. Click the Exclude button. (This will remove the item from the list
without the error message appearing.)
When the Subtraction function is selected when a range is in the Values list box, the following message appears:
The SUBTRACTION (-) function cannot operate on more than one value.
To work around this problem:
1. Remove the range from the Values list box. 2. Change to the Subtraction function. 3. Re-add the cells individually.
This problem occurs if all of the following are true:

1. Click in the List list box. 2. Select the target cell. 3. Click the Show Value button.
When a message appears on the screen, the text in the status bar disappears and is not replaced. This happens because the message box places "For Help, press F1" in the status bar by default.
Currently there is no workaround.
This problem occurs if part or all of the table is selected along with something outside of the table. This is by design; if a table cell is part of the formula and it is pasted outside of the table, the resulting field will return an error.
