The information in this article applies to:
Sometimes the width of a list box on a toolbar in Word for Windows is too narrow to display a long name. For example, on the Formatting toolbar, the Font list box may truncate the following long font names so they all appear as "Garamond Classic Extras":
Garamand Classic Extras Light
Garamand Classic Extras Book
Garamand Classic Extras
You can modify the width of the list boxes on any of the toolbars using the following instructions:
1. From the Tools menu, choose Customize.
2. Select the Toolbars tab. This tab activates a toolbar modification
mode for all the visible toolbars.
3. Click the toolbar list box you want to resize to select it. A
dotted line appears around it. For example, to resize the font
list box on the Formatting toolbar, select it by clicking it once.
Note: Click the actual toolbar in Word, outside the Tools
Customize dialog box.
4. Point to the right edge of the list box. When the pointer
changes to a double vertical bar, two headed arrow, drag the
list box to resize it.
5. In the Tools Customize dialog box, choose the Close button.
