In Word version 6.0 for Windows, the toolbar button labels or Tool Tips may not be displayed when using Magic Cursor! mouse enhancement software by Fanfare Software.
The installation program for Magic Cursor! adds the following to the Load= entry in the [windows] section of the WIN.INI file:
c:\fanfare\fanfare.exe
You can work around this problem by not loading Magic Cursor!. To do so, remove "c:\fanfare\fanfare.exe" from the Load= line in the WIN.INI file.
Magic Cursor! is designed to allow you to change the appearance of the mouse pointer for greater visibility. You can change the size and shape of the mouse pointer or choose from a set of 40 predesigned cursors, including arrows, hands, pencils, pens, mice, and jets.
The Magic Cursor! mouse pointer also includes editing software by Fanfare Software that is designed to allow you to specify a hot-key combination for program activation or deactivation. If this hot-key combination coincides with a Windows keyboard command, the Magic Cursor! hot key takes precedence.
