The information in this article applies to:
If you paste link a Micrografx PhotoMagic 1.0 object in a Word for Windows document (as a bitmap or device-independent bitmap [DIB]) and then undo the operation by choosing Undo Paste Special from the Edit menu, your computer may hang (stop responding).
Your computer does not hang when you do the same series of steps in Word 2.x for Windows.
PhotoMagic calls the GetDC Windows API repeatedly until Windows runs out of this particular DC (device context) memory.
We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Do not use the Undo Paste Special command in Word to reverse a Paste Link operation from PhotoMagic. Instead, delete the linked image.
The PhotoMagic products included here are manufactured by Micrografx, vendors independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding these products' performance or reliability.
