SUMMARYWith Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, to simulate Pica or Elite printer spacing, or traditional typewriter printing, a monospace font must be used. To simulate Pica, a 10-pitch typewriter font, use a monospace font in 12-point size. Elite, a 12-pitch typewriter font, can be simulated by using a monospace font in 10 point. Traditional monospace fonts include Courier and Monaco. Note: "Pitch" refers to the number of characters in one horizontal inch.
