WD: COMMAND+OPTION+V Doesn't Copy Character/Paragraph FormatLast reviewed: February 3, 1998Article ID: Q118837 |
The information in this article applies to:
SUMMARYIn Microsoft Word for the Macintosh version 6.0, the COMMAND+OPTION+V shortcut key combination changed functionality from earlier versions of Word. In versions earlier than 6.0, this shortcut key combination copied character or paragraph formats of a selection to subsequently selected text. Word 6.0 and later versions use COMMAND+OPTION+V to insert an AutoText entry (formerly called Glossary entries). In Word 4.0 and 5.x, you could use the COMMAND+K shortcut to open the Glossary dialog box and select your Glossary entry. To use COMMAND+OPTION+V, first type the AutoText name in your document, then press the COMMAND+OPTION+V to expand the AutoText entry.
