The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you are running the Microsoft Office Manager (MOM) on your computer the COMMAND+TAB key combination does not activate the menu bar as expected in Word for the Macintosh. Instead, when you press COMMAND+TAB in Word, task- switching occurs instead.
CAUSEThe Enable QuickSwitch option is turned on within the Microsoft Office Manager. By design, the MOM Enable QuickSwitch option overrides the COMMAND+TAB key combination in Word for the Macintosh.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, use either of the following methods.
Method 1When the Enable QuickSwitch option is turned on, press F10 to activate menu mode in Word. In Word 5.0 or 5.1x, press CTRL+[ to activate menu mode.
Method 2If you don't need the MOM Enable QuickSwitch functionality, turn off this option by following these steps:
