SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, when you try to copy a paragraph
format to (COMMAND+OPTION+V) a destination, the destination does not
change.
MORE INFORMATION
To copy a format from a source paragraph to a destination, use the
appropriate method for your version of Word.
Word 6.0.1, 6.0.1a
- Select the source paragraph.
- Press COMMAND+SHIFT+C. (Copy Format)
- Select the destination paragraph.
- Press COMMAND+SHIFT+V. (Paste Format)
Word 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0
- Click the cursor in the destination paragraph.
- Press COMMAND+OPTION+V.
- Select the source paragraph by double-clicking in the selection
bar to the left of it (to highlight the whole paragraph). As noted
in the previous example, highlighting the paragraph by dragging is
unreliable.
- Press RETURN.
Please note that pressing COMMAND+PERIOD will cancel the operation. To
make the Copy From message, rather than the Format To message, appear
at the bottom of the screen, the insertion point must appear in a
paragraph; nothing can be highlighted.
