SYMPTOMSMail merge data is not retained in the Data Form dialog box. (To locate the Data Form dialog box, on the Mail Merge Helper, click Edit under Data Source, and then select your document.)
CAUSEThis behavior occurs when you use the scroll bar to navigate through the fields in the Data Form dialog box. This behavior does not occur when you use the TAB key to navigate through the fields.
WORKAROUNDTo preserve your data as you enter each record, use one of the following methods.
Method 1In the data form, use the TAB key to move from one field to the next. (Use SHIFT+TAB to move to the previous field.)
Method 2Click the View Source button in the Data Form dialog box to open the data as a Word document. Enter the data, and then save and close the document.
Method 3Open the data source as a Word document.
