Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
In Word 6.x, for more information on a specific field, click "Search for Help on" on the Help menu, type "fields, types of" (without the quotation marks), click the "Field Types and Switches" topic and then click GoTo.
In Word 97 for Windows or Word 98 Macintosh Edition, click the Office Assistant, type one of the field names above, click Search, and then click "Field Codes: <name of field name you typed in>."
