WD:Can't Assign or Modify Macro Text Style in Macro Editing Pane

SUMMARY

You cannot use formatting commands in a macro pane in Word. Therefore, you cannot modify or apply the Macro Text style (or other styles) while in the macro editing pane.

The macro editing pane always uses the Macro Text style. To modify this style while in a macro editing pane, follow these steps:

1. Switch to a document window by selecting an open document from the

   Window menu or by clicking New on the File menu to create a new 
   document.

3. In the Styles list, click Macro Text. If the style does not appear

   in the list, select All Styles in the list box.

5. Click Format and select the property to be changed.

6. Click OK after making the changes you want.

The above steps change the Macro Text style for all macro editing windows. Any currently open macro windows and any new macro windows that you open will take on the formats of the Macro Text style. Unlike other styles, the Macro Text style is global to Word for Windows and is not template specific. When you change the Macro Text style, the change is recorded in the Nornal.dot file.
