While browsing or opening HTML documents with Internet Assistant, you may encounter errors, such as:
Error parsing HTML File
Error #: Tag 'P' out of context
-or-
Error parsing HTML File
Error #: Tag 'BR' out of context
The word "Tag" in the above cases indicates that the <P> or <BR> tag is
used improperly in the document. Most of the time errors occur due to
improper use of the HTML tag language in the document. Internet Assistant
traps illegal HTML code and supports only HTML Level 2 standards.
This document contains troubleshooting steps you can use when you encounter HTML tagging problems.
To determine which tag in the HTML document is wrong:
1. Open the problem document as an HTML document to see how it is
formatted.
2. Create a new HTML document using Internet-Assistant-provided tools,
duplicating the formatting of the problem document. Save this new
document.
3. Close both documents.
4. From the File menu, choose Open.
5. Select Confirm Conversions.
6. Open both documents as Text Only.
7. Compare the two versions to see the differences in the HTML tags.
By comparing the documents, you can see which tags need to be changed.
