When generating a table of contents for a document that uses IncludeText fields, you may receive the following error message for the first or all page numbers in the table of contents:
Error! Bookmark not defined.
This behavior occurs under the following conditions:
1. You update the INCLUDETEXT field.
2. Next, you update the table of contents (TOC) field and select the Update
Page Numbers Only option.
-or-
You update the INCLUDETEXT field and the referenced file is not found.
To resolve this problem, upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Word.
To work around this problem, when you update the table of contents after updating the INCLUDETEXT field, choose the Update Entire Table option.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Word listed above. This problem was corrected in Word version 7.0 for Windows 95.
