The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you run Setup to perform an Administrative Installation of Word for the Macintosh and double-click a network volume to select it, nothing happens, even if you previously mounted the network volume. Setup only selects the network volume icon but does not open it.
CAUSEThis problem occurs when you double-click a slow-mount volume.
WORKAROUNDTriple-click the network volume instead of double-clicking it.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word version 6.0 for the Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
