When you insert an object in your document (click Object on the Insert menu) and convert the object to be activated as a Microsoft Word Picture object, the object is activated as a Microsoft Word Document object.
To work around this problem, convert the Document object to a Microsoft Word Picture object. This will allow you to edit the object in the Microsoft Word Picture Editor. When you have completed editing the object, you can convert the picture back to a Document object.
To convert the document object to a Microsoft Word picture, use the following steps:
1. Position the insertion point over the Document object then click
to select it.
2. On the Edit menu, point to Document Object, and then click Convert.
3. From the Convert dialog box select "Microsoft Word Picture" in the
Object Type box.
4. Click OK.
To convert the Microsoft Word Picture object back to a Microsoft Word Document object:
1. Position the insertion point over the picture object, and then click to
select the picture object.
2. On the Edit menu, point to Picture Object, and then click Convert.
3. From the Convert dialog box, select "Microsoft Word Document" in the
Object Type list box.
4. Click OK.
