The information in this article applies to:
When you print to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet 660c printer, a worksheet with cells that are formatted with a pattern may be printed in a lighter shade. Note that the cell shading appears correct in print preview.
This behavior occurs when you print a worksheet that contains a drawing object.
To work around this behavior, set the print quality to Best or Presentation.
When you draw an object on the worksheet, patterned cells are printed in a lighter shade. The presence of a bitmap image on the worksheet causes the HP 660c printer to change the colors it produces through the optimization scheme of the printer driver.
When a bitmap image is not present on the worksheet, patterned cells are printed in a darker shade. This is a result of the dithering algorithms used by the printer driver.
