XL: Pick From List Characters Are Limited to 255 Characters

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Pick From List option in Microsoft Excel to quickly enter repetitive data in a cell, you are limited to 255 characters for each item on the list. Each item will be truncated at 255 characters, regardless of the original length.

CAUSE

This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel.
