In a Microsoft Word for Windows header, selecting a distance from the page edge that is larger than the actual page size does not generate an error message. After repagination, the document has one line of text per page.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. We are researching this problem, and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
1. Open a multiple-page document.
2. From the View menu, choose Page Layout. From the View menu, choose
Header/Footer.
3. In the From Edge box, type "12" (without the quotation marks) in
the Header field.
4. Choose the OK button.
5. Type some text in the header pane.
6. Choose the Close button.
7. From the Tools menu, choose Repaginate Now.
No error message displays, and the document has one line of text per page.
