SUMMARYIn Microsoft Word for Windows, if you use the Insert Page Numbers command to add page numbers to a document, Word activates the Different First Page option in the Header/Footer dialog box.
MORE INFORMATIONThe Insert Page Numbers command is designed to apply page numbers to all pages except the first page. If you want page numbers on every page of a document, choose Header/Footer from the View menu (from the Edit menu in Word for Windows version 1.x), clear the Different First Page option, and insert a PAGE field.
