  • Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 4.0 and 5.0

SUMMARY

In Word versions 4.0 and 5.0, if the default PostScript style has been altered or redefined, PostScript-formatted text will not be interpreted as PostScript commands.

To change the appearance of PostScript text but still allow the text to be interpreted as code, do one of the following:

  • Manually change the character formats of the PostScript-formatted text. For example, if you want the PostScript text to be in a 12-point font so that it will be easier to read, select the text and apply a 12-point font size.

-or-
  • Turn off the Hidden Text character format so that the PostScript commands are visible on the printed page and also function as PostScript code. To view the PostScript code as normal text as well as hidden code:

    1. Select the PostScript code.

    2. From the Edit menu, choose Copy.

    3. Place the insertion point where you want the text to appear and

choose Paste from the Edit menu.

    4. Select the text and apply the Normal style to the text (hold

down the SHIFT key and choose Normal from the Style box on the
          ruler).

MORE INFORMATION

If the PostScript style has been redefined, Word assumes that that style is no longer a PostScript code designator. For example, if the PostScript style is changed to have a 12-point font size, it will no longer function as the designator for PostScript code.
