In Microsoft Excel, Help contains incorrect information about the DSUM() worksheet function. It uses the function name DMAX rather than DSUM. This information is incorrect. The correct syntax for this function is as follows:
DSUM(database, field, criteria)
Database is the range of cells that make up the database.
Field indicates which field is used in the function.
Criteria is the range of cells that contains the database criteria.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel version 5.0c.
For more information about the DSUM function, click the Index tab in Microsoft Excel 7.0 Help, type the following text
DSUM
and then double-click the selected text to go to the "DSUM" topic.
For more information about the "DSUM function," choose the Search button in Microsoft Excel 5.0 Help, and type:
DSUM
Choose the Show Topics button, select the topic, and choose Go To.
