In Microsoft Word for Windows, the sample box found in the Character dialog box may not display your entire selection if you select a font size larger than 35-point.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. We are researching this problem, and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Depending on the font family, font size, and printer driver you choose, the sample box at the bottom of the Character dialog box may not display all of the text that you selected. The tops of the characters may be truncated, particularly with larger point sizes.
1. Type a word in a new document, and select the word.
2. From the Format menu, choose Character.
3. Select a font, and select a point size larger than 100. Choose the
OK button.
You cannot view all of the text. As a general rule, the sample box
cannot display font sizes larger than approximately 35-point.
