ACC: "Out of Memory" in Edit Relationships WindowID: Q119784
|
Moderate: Requires basic macro, coding, and interoperability skills.
In Microsoft Access 7.0 and 97, when you add tables to the Relationships
window, you may receive the error message "There is not enough memory to
perform this operation. Close unneeded applications and then try the
operation again." In Microsoft Access 2.0, you may receive an "Out of
memory" error message.
You have more than approximately 1200 columns in the tables in the Relationships window. The exact number of columns that you can have in the Relationships window varies with factors such as the length of field names and table names.
When you receive this error message, first delete some of the tables in the
Relationships window that already have defined relationships; then, create
the additional relationships between tables.
NOTE: Deleting a table from the Relationships window does not actually
delete the table nor does it delete the relationship. Deleting a table just
removes the table from the Relationships window layout.
For more information about the Relationships windows, search the Help Index for "Relationships," and then view the information for the Relationships window.
