The information in this article applies to:
In Microsoft Excel, when you create a high-low-close chart by inserting the chart as a new sheet, close markers fail to appear on the chart. The markers fail to appear if you click Chart on the Insert menu, and then click As New Sheet to create the new chart sheet; also, the markers fail to appear if you press the F11 shortcut key to create the chart as a new sheet.
This behavior will not occur when you create the chart as an embedded chart.
To display the close markers after you create a chart, follow these steps:
1. With the chart sheet active, on the Format menu, click AutoFormat.
2. Click OK (without making any other selections).
The close markers are added to the chart.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel version 5.0c for Windows.
