XL5: System Size Increases After Running ExcelID: Q97859
|
If you are running Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh with Apple Macintosh system software version 7.0, 7.01, or 7.1, if the amount of memory your operating system uses increases, and if this memory is not released when you exit Microsoft Excel, it may be an indication that the fonts on your system are damaged.
To fix the damaged fonts, use the original font disks to reinstall the damaged fonts.
This problem occurs when some of the fonts installed on your system are modified or damaged. This results in the system loading all those fonts into memory when you start Microsoft Excel. The only way to release this memory is to restart your system.
