When you insert a Microsoft WordArt 1.0 object in a Microsoft Excel 5.0 document and you then edit the object, it may not appear as expected when you print it or view it in print preview.
Although the edited object is displayed correctly on the worksheet, when you print the document or view it in print preview, the object reverts to the way it looked when you originally inserted it in the document.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
To work around this problem, save and reopen the workbook, or convert the WordArt 1.0 object to a WordArt 2.0 object.
1. Modify the Microsoft WordArt 1.0 object.
2. Save the changes and then close the workbook.
3. Reopen the worksheet.
This will update the picture object information with the application.
-or-
1. Select the object.
2. From the Edit menu, choose Microsoft WordArt 1.0 Object, and then choose
Convert.
3. Choose Convert to Microsoft WordArt 2.0 Object.
Microsoft Excel 5.0 will update the object and correctly preview and print any changes made to the object. However, the formatting may appear differently under the newer version of Microsoft WordArt.
