SYMPTOMS
========

When you perform a Move Mailbox operation in Exchange Server 5.5, you may
receive an error message that is uninformative, such as the following:

   Event Type: Error
   Event Source: MSExchangeIS Private
   Event Category: Move Mailbox
   Event ID: 8532
   Date: 4/28/2000
   Time: 1:35:38 PM
   User: N/A
   Computer: Computer Name
   Description: The following folder failed to be opened during move mailbox for
   Baaa Nchichi-exch1.
   Folder: 1-1E03; Error code: NULL.

CAUSE
=====

This error message can be logged if diagnostic logging for the information store
is set to medium or higher.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server 5.5.

Microsoft used the most current virus detection software available on the date of
posting to scan this file for viruses. Once posted, the file is housed on secure
servers that prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server
version 5.5. This problem was first corrected in Exchange Server 5.5 Service
Pack 4.
