The information in this article applies to:
When you use the right mouse button to click the Microsoft Excel version 7.0 title bar(the top most bar where the name "Microsoft Excel" appears), the worksheet shortcut menu (which contains Cut, Copy, Insert, and so on) will appear instead of the application's control menu (which contains Restore, Minimize, Close, and so on).
To get the Microsoft Excel version 7.0 Control menu when you click on the title bar, you can use one of the following methods:
Method 1: Use the right mouse button and click twice on the title bar.
Method 2: Use the right mouse button to click the title bar, and then press
the ESC key.
Method 3: Use the following keystrokes to display the desired control menu:
- To display the control menu for a sheet, press ALT+MINUS SIGN.
- To display the control menu for an application, press
ALT+MINUS SIGN and then press the Left Arrow key.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
