The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you try to drag a control from a UserForm onto a Microsoft Excel 97 worksheet, the cursor will turn into a "No Cursor" (a circle with a diagonal line through it), and you cannot drop the control onto the worksheet. Also, if you cut or copy a control from a UserForm, you cannot paste the control into a worksheet.
CAUSEMoving or copying a control from a UserForm to a worksheet is not supported in Microsoft Excel 97.
RESOLUTIONIf you want to place a UserForm control on a worksheet, insert a new control from the Control Toolbox toolbar. To insert a control on a worksheet, do the following:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATIONIn Microsoft Excel 97 you can add ActiveX controls to your worksheets for making custom applications. The ActiveX controls that you can add to your worksheet are on the Control Toolbox toolbar. To display the Control Toolbox toolbar, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Control Toolbox. Many of the ActiveX controls are similar in form and function to the controls on the Forms toolbar, but the ActiveX controls are available for both UserForms (in Visual Basic Editor) and worksheets. The Forms toolbar controls are only available for worksheets.
