When you use "Anova: Two-Factor Without Replication" in the Data Analysis tools, you may receive the following error message:
Anova: Two-Factor Without Replication - Input range contains
non-numeric data
This problem occurs when the input range contains either empty cells or text.
To work around this problem, enter a value of zero (0) into the empty cells in the input range. This has no significant effect on the variation of the data.
This behavior differs from earlier versions of Excel. Microsoft Excel versions 5.0 and 7.0 allow empty cells in the input range. The Anova analysis tool in Excel 97 does not work unless you remove the empty cells in the input range or replace them with values.
For more information about the Anova analysis tool, click the Index tab in Help, type the following text
Anova tool
and then double-click the selected text to go to the "Perform an analysis
of variance (anova)" topic.
