When you run a macro that tiles windows of open workbooks, you do not receive the results you expect.
This behavior occurs if one of the open windows is minimized.

Ensure that no windows are minimized before you run the macro or modify the macro code so that it sets all windows to the normal state before it tiles the windows.
You can run the following example macro without error, however, the macro does not tile windows if any open window in the program is minimized:
Sub test()
Application.Windows.Arrange ArrangeStyle:=xlArrangeStyleTiled
End Sub
To tile the windows, use the following macro:
Sub test()
For Each x in Workbooks
x.Activate
ActiveWindow.WindowState=xlNormal
Next x
Application.Windows.Arrange ArrangeStyle:=xlArrangeStyleTiled
End Sub
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows.
For more information about tiling windows through Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, click the Office Assistant in the Visual Basic Editor, type "arrange method" (without the quotation marks), click Search, and then click to view the "Arrange Method" topic.
NOTE: If the Assistant is hidden, click the Office Assistant button on the Standard toolbar. If Microsoft Excel Help is not installed on your computer, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
