In Microsoft Excel 97, the Go To list may be unavailable when you use the Function Wizard. In earlier versions of Microsoft Excel, you can click a defined name in the Go To list and use it as an argument in the Function Wizard.
If you want to use defined names as arguments in the Function Wizard, type the name in the box for the argument.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
To select a defined name in a list in the Function Wizard in earlier versions of Microsoft Excel, do the following:
1. On the Insert menu, click Function.
2. Click a category in the Function Category list.
3. Click the function you want to use in the Function Name list and
click Next.
NOTE: In Step 2 of the Function Wizard, the cursor is blinking in
the box for the first argument.
4. On the Edit menu, click Go To.
5. Click a defined name in the Go To list and click OK.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 to use defined names for additional arguments.
For more information about inserting functions, click the Index tab in Microsoft Excel 97 Help, type the following text
inserting, functions into formulas
and then double-click the selected text to go to the "Enter a formula that
contains a function" topic.
