SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, when you save a workbook, you may receive the following error message:
Not enough memory.When you click OK, the workbook is saved. However, when you reopen the workbook, pictures may be missing from the workbook.
CAUSEThis problem may occur if the following conditions are true:
WORKAROUNDYou may be able to work around this problem by converting the JPEG or JPG picture into a bitmap. To do this, repeat the following steps for each picture in the workbook:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
