XL98: Text Is Truncated in a Text Box with Rounded CornersID: q179328
|
In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, when you view a text box in a worksheet, text in the text box may become misaligned or truncated.
This behavior may occur when the following conditions are true:
To work around this behavior, do either of the following:
This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
In earlier versions of Microsoft Excel, when you apply rounded corners to a
text box, the radius that defines the corners is the same in all text boxes
regardless of the size of the text box.
In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, the radius that defines rounded
corners in a text box varies with the size of the text box. So, the radius
of the corners of a text box of width "x" and height "y" may be larger in
Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition than it is in earlier versions of
Microsoft Excel.
This difference in behavior may cause problems when the text box contains
text that is formatted in a large point size. For example, text at the top
of the text box may shift down and to the right, which is away from the
larger rounded upper-left corner of the text box. This behavior may cause
text in the lower-right side of the text box to become truncated.
