  • Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition

SUMMARY

If you size a Microsoft Office program window so that a toolbar that is docked at the top of the window does not fit in the window, some toolbar buttons on the toolbar may not be visible, and a small symbol (>>) appears on the right side of the toolbar. If you double-click the symbol, the toolbar in question becomes undocked and displays all of the toolbar buttons on that toolbar.

MORE INFORMATION

If you display the Customize dialog box, a toolbar that previously displayed the symbol appears with all the toolbar buttons in multiple rows. However, when you close the Customize dialog box, the toolbar buttons are hidden, and the symbol reappears.

When the Customize dialog box is visible, the toolbar buttons are wrapped so that you have access to all buttons in case you want to remove a button or insert another button.
