SYMPTOMS
========

When you try to remove Microsoft Entertainment Pack: The Puzzle Collection, your
computer may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if you installed Microsoft Entertainment Pack: The
Puzzle Collection to the root folder on your hard disk.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, restart your computer in Safe Mode, and then remove the
program. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Press the reset button on your computer.

2. While your computer restarts, press down and hold the CTRL key until the
   Microsoft Windows 98 Startup menu appears.

   NOTE: If you are using Microsoft Windows 95, press the F8 key when you see the
   "Starting Windows 95" message.

3. Choose Safe Mode from the Startup menu, and then press ENTER.

4. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

5. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

6. Click Microsoft Entertainment Pack: The Puzzle Collection, and then click
   Add/Remove.

7. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove Microsoft Entertainment Pack:
   The Puzzle Collection.

8. Close Control Panel.

9. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.

10. In the Named box, type "charmer.exe" (without the quotation marks), and then
   click Find Now.

11. In the list of found files, right-click the Charmer.exe file, and then click
   Delete.

12. Repeat steps 10-11 to delete the following files:

    - Colc.exe
    - Fflush.exe
    - Fringer.exe
    - Jewelch.exe
    - Lineup.exe
    - Muddle.exe
    - Play.exe
    - Ratpoker.exe
    - Readme.doc
    - Sweekend.exe

13. Close the Find: Files Named Sweekend.exe window.

14. Right-click the En folder, if it exists, and then click Delete. If you are
   prompted to confirm the folder deletion, click Yes.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Entertainment Pack:
Puzzle Collection version 1.0.
