SYMPTOMS
========

When you start Microsoft Asheron's Call, the introductory movies may not be
played.

The movies should be played after the two progress indicators are filled.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if either of the following conditions is true:

 - The Microsoft Asheron's Call CD-ROM is not inserted in the CD-ROM drive.

 - The Intel Indeo 5.03 video codec is not installed on the computer.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, use the following methods in the order in which they are
presented.

Insert the Asheron's Call CD-ROM into the CD-ROM Drive
------------------------------------------------------

All of the necessary files to play Asheron's Call are installed to your
computer's hard disk. However, the movie files remain on the CD. Please ensure
that the CD is in the CD-ROM drive before you start Asheron's Call if you want
to play the introductory movies.

Reinstall Asheron's Call
------------------------

To reinstall Asheron's Call:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

3. Click Microsoft Asheron's Call, and then click Add/Remove

4. Click Reinstall, and then click Continue.

Follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall Asheron's Call.

Download and Install the Latest Intel Indeo Video Codec

Intel has sold the rights to the Intel Indeo video codec to Ligos Technology.
